The latest delivery of carp includes two new mirrors weighing 42lb and 33lb 15oz. Also stocked are three stunning commons weighing 36lb 13oz, 34lb 3oz and 32lb 7oz. A ghost common weighing 25lb 6oz completes the delivery. Average weight of carp stocked is 34lb.

42lb Carp Added to Oakview Lake’s Stock of 40s

A 42lb mirror carp is added to Oakview Lake’s growing number of home grown 40s. This should come as good news if you’ve booked your carp fishing holiday here in 2015, especially if you managed to book a pre-spawning week.

Other 30lb+ Carp Included in the Oakview Lake Delivery

In addition to the 42lb mirror stocked, a carp weighing 33lb 15oz is the only other mirror carp included in this delivery. All of the other carp stocked for the 2015 carp-fishing season are common carp.

A 36lb 13oz carp heads the list of big commons added to the carp fishing lake. If this fish is caught early in the 2015 season, we should get to find out if it’s a female.

An eye-catching common weighing 32lb 7oz stood out amongst the bigger carp stocked at the same time. Its long dark shape is in stark contrast to Oakview Lake’s other commons, which tend to be lighter in colour.

Smallest Fish Stocked at Oakview Lake for 2015

A ghost common weighing 25lb 6oz was the smallest carp delivered to Oakview Lake for the 2015 carp fishing season and the only fish weighing less than 30lb.
