No arrivals before Saturday at 4pm please without prior arrangement... we need time to make sure the accommodation is spick and span and to get the groundwork done.

We have no objection to guests arriving before 4pm if you let us know this in advance. However, please be aware that we must finish cleaning the lodge and getting the mowing done so we may not be totally ready for you, but we are happy for you to start setting up your gear.

We need to have access to the accommodation at 10am on the day of your departure please so that we can get started for the next guests.

Free Broadband Wifi is available at Oakview which can be accessed in the lodge and as far as the 'home swim'.

The nearest town with all of these facilities is 7km from Oakview Lake and we give detailed instructions of how to get there to each new party on arrival. We are also lucky in that the local supermarket is open from 9am to 12 noon on Sundays. There is also a tabac in the local village just down the road.

Oakview Lake is very secure and we have never had a problem with any group leaving their personal effects and going out for the day. Having said that, you can never be too careful nowadays so we give you a key to a large, lockable bait shed.

All the tap water is mains-fed and perfectly safe to drink.

Yes you can, but only tinned sweetcorn/carp pellets or pre-prepared particles purchased at Oakview (Sorry, not nuts of any type)

We welcome well behaved dogs at Oakview - just let us know in advance that you are bringing them - we can also arrange for the necessary vet appointment before you depart as required by the UK Border Regulations - we are even happy to go with you if you feel you need us to. Please bear in mind, however, that the lake and accommodation do border with neighbours and there are no fences between us and the country lanes.

The plug points inside the lodge are French, but there are two English plug points outside the lodge under the terrace for mobile phone / bait boat charging etc. UK adaptors are also available on request.
