Great Place

We had a fantastic time. The fishing was very good and set in beautiful surroundings. Gary & Angeline are fantastic hosts and can’t do enough to help you. We would recommend the food package it is very good and good value for money.
The facilities are clean and tidy and well equipped everything you need.
Fishing Tactics: Fished to far bank under the trees with pop-ups and wafters best baits Sticky baits Krill & Rollin baits inception.
Catch: 54 fish over 13 days
9 x 30s, 25 x 20s and 20 x Doubles. New PB 36.4 common carp for Caroline

Fantastic Venue

Fantastic venue and facilities very good. Gary & Angeline are great hosts, Gary is always willing to help. We would recommend food package, it is very good
Fishing Tactics: Fished to the far bank under the trees with wafters and pop ups

Gary Very Helpful

Gary could not do enough for us, he put us on the fish and showed me how to tie a Ronnie Rig. Facilities were better than expected.

Catch: Leaving early to get home we had 9 fish to 27lb 4oz

Great Place

Second visit to this venue. Great place, great host and looking forward to our third visit. Must have food package, Angeline can cook up a storm. Gary doesn’t make the Chicken and leek pie (ongoing joke).
Fishing Tactics: Raja spice, Monster Tigernut Boillie. Citrus, Scopex Squid, Marmite.Ronnie rig, blowback rig.
8 Fish to 30.15 And new PBS for the two of us - 3 x 30+, 3 x 25+, 2x 20+ average weight 27lb.

Top Class Food

Fishing was difficult due to the weather, storm Dennis at the start and high wind and frost at the end. Second time at Eau De Vie, welcome was great as usual, food was top class as normal

Great Accommodation

Great accommodation, nice lake. Don't think it's a runs water! C'est la peche! Facilities are comfortable and warm. Everything provided. Good shower and comfy beds!
Fishing Tactics: Used tactics suggested by the lake.Used Dynamite boilies and pellets and particles supplied by the lake. Tried Ronnie Rigs and shortened Ronnie Rigs. Zig rig and bottom baits. Fished 15 hrs a day!
1 x 12lb common carp.

Great Hosts

Great hosts. Gary very friendly and helpful with all fishing queries and Angeline with local info. Great accommodation and facilities, even with a lot of rain. Will be back.
Fishing Tactics: Complex T Boillie's & Gary's particle mix to the far margin.
20 fish in total. New PB's for Harry 41.1 Mirror, George 31.2 Mirror and Ross 37.11 Mirror

A Great Break

A great break, really enjoyed by both of us. Already booked again for early next year. Hosts were most obliging and friendly and exceeded all our expectations. Food package was excellent (as highly recommended by previous clients).
Fishing tactics: Ronnie rig. Snowman over lake particle worked best.
Catch: Mirror carp to 28lb early in the week. Strange behaviour of fish from midweek onwards. Though the weather improved to almost perfect conditions at times, the fish, although still showing proved more difficult. Even when fishing overnight.

Food package - Exceptional Quality & Value

Though the fishing was hard this week the venue is a little slice of heaven. Gary & Angeline did all they could to make us welcome and comfortable.
The food package really should not be missed as it is exceptional quality and value. Be sure to ask Gary to make his chicken and leek pie. Our host could not have done more to make our stay any better.
In summary we all had a wonderful week and look forward to returning in the future.
Fishing Tactics: Ronnie rigs pop ups, bottom baits, krill, marmite. If in doubt ask Gary his magic bag is full of tricks.
Catch: 3 x Mirror, 2 x common

Excellent Venue

Excellent venue, fabulous hosts, the food package is a must and well worth it. ALREADY BOOKED FOR NEXT YEAR.
Fishing tactics: Blow back rig with white fish and tiger nut boillie snowman.
Catch: 6 Mirror to 38lb 2oz, 1 Common and1 Grass carp.

Fantastic venue very good stock of fish and very nice host. The food is restaurant quality. Had a fantastic weeks fishing. Already booked for next year.
Fishing Tactics: Ronnie rig krill boillie. Ronnie rig with tiger nut red amo. Sold at the venue.
Catch: 4 Mirrors to 27lb 4oz and 3 commons.

Slice Of Heaven in France

SLICE OF HEAVEN IN FRANCE.
If your looking for a holiday with excitement, peace & contentment then this is for you. Nature & beauty at its best, our 2 weeks have flown by, wish we had booked 3. Your hosts are truly wonderful the perfect hosts, they leave you alone if you wish or if you need help with your fishing Garry is only too willing to help, listen to him his advice is priceless & you will learn many new skills. Chats with Angeline & a bottle of wine just wonderful, I will miss her company.
Just sit by this gorgeous lake soak up the peace & quiet, if you're lucky you will see the beautiful kingfisher, taking a rest on your rod, or the frogs having a natter to each other it really is quite funny, or you might see the snake swim across the lake.
From a very discerning woman's point of view, its just heaven to sit & watch nature at its very best, the facilities are just great, the pictures don't do the accommodation justice its fine for a family of 4 everything you need is supplied, the welcome you receive is perfect.
We can't thank you enough for a wonderful 2 weeks we will never forget - The Lonergan Family.

Second Two Week Visit This Year

My second 2 week visit to Eau De Vie this year. The first week with temperatures in the 40's, it was never going to be easy so more sunbathing than fishing! Facilities spotless as always and the new shower is fantastic. So happy with them I'm coming back in October this year.
The second week much cooler and as a result with Gary's help had 12 fish on the bank. Gary & Angeline are fantastic hosts and the food was exceptional. I'm already counting the days until my next visit in October.
Fishing Tactics: Fished in both margins and open water with lake boilie and pellet. Both pop up and bottom bait rigs used.
Catch: 12 fish on the bank, 5 Mirror to 26.8, 5 common to 22.6 and 2 grass carp to 26.10

A Well Managed, Friendly & Intimate Venue

A well managed, friendly and intimate venue. Fishing advice readily available along with tips and support. The venue has everything you need and more. It is well stocked and fish are showing on a regular basis day and night.
The owners are passionate about fishing and are constantly looking to improve and iron out any imperfections. How that is possible to improve upon I do not know. I can't find any faults at all! We were made to feel welcome the moment we arrived. Their hospitality was fantastic. The accommodation was clean, in fact spotless. We opted for the food package and it was incredible. The food was so good that I am not looking forward to going home!!!
For anglers reading and comparing other Venus then DO NOT PASS THIS ONE BY BOOK IT.......You will not find one better. Well done and thank you Gary and Angeline
Fishing Tactics: Pop ups over particle mix and pellet, some with attractants. Fished margins in day when temperatures were high and open water and margins at night.
Catch: 9 fish in total. 2 x grass carp 25lb 6oz/ 30lb 4oz, 1 x common carp 13lb, 6 x Mirror carp 10lb 4oz, 11lb 8oz, 20lb 4oz, 20lb 11oz, 20lb 15oz, 21lb 10oz.

Stunning Lake and Venue

A stunning lake and venue, with Gary, Angeline and Piper making us feel at home. The food package was exceptional and not to be missed. Overall a tough weeks fishing (due to the weather), but one I wouldn't change at all. A truly special venue and one I hope to return to.
Extremely happy with the facilities - 10/10. Although we slept in bivvies the accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well thought out. A great base for our weeks fishing.
Fishing Tactics: Following Gary's tips and spots. Margins during the day and open water at night. Both bottom bait and pop ups produced carp, although meatier baits preferred. Lake pellet and particle was used in the bait boat we hired, for accuracy and margins.
Catch: 9 fish in total. 2 x grass 25.6, 30.4 pb.
1 x common 13lb. 6 x Mirror 10.4, 11.8, 20.4, 20.11, 20.15, 21.10.

Top Venue

Top venue, we will be returning. Gary and Angeline are top hosts. Food is great. Lake is lovely and Gary will put you on the fish. Great week away guys.
Fishing Tactics: Listen to Gary!!
Catch: 16 fish in total. Biggest fish 35lb mirror. All fish are in mint condition and very well looked after by Gary. Very hot week.

Fish Pristine Condition

All fish are in pristine condition and venue stunning also. Food served by resident chef Angeline was amazing.
Fishing Tactics: Corn and pop up.
Catch:16 fish in total, very hot conditions. Gary was amazing with his help and advice. With an average weight of 24lb.

Very Impressed

First time to this new venue and have been very impressed, Gary the owner was very helpful but not in your face. Angeline, Gary's partner and co-owner was on hand to make you feel welcome and as part of the food package we had our last evening meal and Saturday leaving breakfast, which were both excellent and would recommend anyone at least giving it a try. Some of the photos with 2 people in are because I was suffering with a bad back problem and had to be helped by my friends.
Fishing Tactics: My best bait was tiger nut boile with a tiger nut pop up, or if in doubt ask lake owner Gary.
Catch: 16 fish in total ranging in sizes from 10lb the smallest to 35 lb the largest, 12 above 20lb and of those 4 above 30lb and of those 4 above 26lb.

All Round Good Package

Hard weeks fishing. Gary & Angeline are great hosts and will do all they can to make your visit a good one. All round a very good package.
Fishing Tactics: Pop-ups in general (mainly pink). Bottom baits for a couple. Fish not 'having it' on anything particular
Catch: Common carp x 5 to 27.5lb. Grass carp x 3 to 26lb, Mirror carp x 2 to 24lb
