South Lake is a 2 Acre Lake for up to 3 Anglers

Part of the Eau de Vie complex, South Lake is a secluded 2-acre carp fishing lake with lakeside accommodation in West France. It has 4 swims, including a double swim right in front of the accommodation. The lake can accommodate 3 anglers in comfort, each having plenty of water and features to go at.

The lake is horseshoe shaped and is surrounded by mature trees. The bottom is mainly clay and there are two small islands. The depths range from 1.2m to 2.2m at its deepest.

Over 100 Pristine Carp

South Lake has been well stocked with over 100 carp. The carp sizes range from doubles to well over 40lb. The majority of the carp weigh between 20 and 40lb, with a number of the carp now weighing over 40lb. A typical catch would include an equal number of 20s and 30s, a few doubles and could well include a high 40.

There are no poisson chat, crayfish or other nuisance fish in South Lake.

The Lakeside Accommodation Sleeps 4

An extended and converted railway carriage has two twin bedrooms and has everything you need for cooking and dining. It is fully insulated and has mains water and electricity.

    We had a fantastic time. The fishing was very good and set in beautiful surroundings. Gary & Angeline are fantastic hosts and can’t do enough to help you. We would recommend the food package it is very good and good value for money.

    The facilities are clean and tidy and well equipped everything you need.

    Fishing Tactics: Fished to far bank under the trees with pop-ups and wafters best baits Sticky baits Krill & Rollin baits inception.

    Catch: 54 fish over 13 days

    9 x 30s, 25 x 20s and 20 x Doubles. New PB 36.4 common carp for Caroline

    Fantastic venue and facilities very good. Gary & Angeline are great hosts, Gary is always willing to help. We would recommend food package, it is very good

    29 fish: 9 common 10lb to 36. 4lb, 17 mirror 13lb to 30.12lb and 3 Grass 23lb to 26.4 lb

    Gary could not do enough for us, he put us on the fish and showed me how to tie a Ronnie Rig. Facilities were better than expected.

    Catch: Leaving early to get home we had 9 fish to 27lb 4oz

    Second visit to this venue. Great place, great host and looking forward to our third visit. Must have food package, Angeline can cook up a storm. Gary doesn’t make the Chicken and leek pie (ongoing joke).

    Fishing Tactics: Raja spice, Monster Tigernut Boillie. Citrus, Scopex Squid, Marmite.Ronnie rig, blowback rig.
