About South Lake Accommodation
South Lake accommodation is just 5 meters from the water's edge. At its heart is a lovingly restored historical railway carriage, which includes an open plan kitchen and TV lounge area, a twin bedroom and shower room with w/c. An extension to the side contains a second twin bedroom, which is just a few steps away from the carriage door under the covered terrace.
The Historical Railway Carriage
The railway carriage is thought to date from the early nineteenth century and was originally designed as a refrigeration carriage, so it is extremely well insulated against both summer heat and cold weather.
The main room has a small living area and kitchen. The living area has a comfortable sofa and a flatscreen TV with UK free view channels. The kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle and everything you need for preparing and serving meals. There is a separate bait freezer.
Bedrooms and Shower Room
Both twin bedrooms have full sized beds and chests of drawers. One of the bedrooms has air conditioning, UK plugs and USB ports. Bed linen is supplied, but please bring your own towels. A travel cot can be requested in advance. The shower room is a good size with wash basin and wc.
Covered Dining Room
Outside there is a terrace with a dining table, chairs and a BBQ. Although outdoors, the terrace forms a large covered dining room with doors to the main accommodation and second bedroom. This effectively links the separate rooms to form a comfortable and spacious accommodation area. There is also a large BBQ and pizza oven.
Onsite Facilities
Onsite facilities include UK electric sockets, a fully equipped tackle shop, carp cradles, weigh slings and a food package prepared by Angeline, who is a professional chef. Food packages must be pre ordered and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are all available.
