Jessie's Previous Fishing Adventures

We filmed her first action packed adventure into French fishing 3 years ago when she was 6 years old. By then she was already well on the way to mastering the art of float fishing. She could also drill and cork boilies ready for a carp rig, not to mention her ability to net 30lb carp.

Now aged 9, Jessie catches all sorts of species with ease, including pike. She caught this 3lb pike with her float rod during a session where she banked countless numbers of her old favourites roach and rudd.

During the same session, Jessie banked her first ever grass carp weighing 11lb. Previously, she had been helping Dad Dave set up his carp rigs and putting his baits out. When asked to choose which rod was going to be hers, she didn't hesitate in picking the green rod. She must have known instinctively that it was placed in the best spot because it produced two 42lb carp, which she helped to play onto the bank.

We look forward to the next time Jessie comes to Oakview Lake. By then she will have reached the ripe old age of 10 and she'll already have had a number of years of experience fishing in France. Who knows what she has in store for us in 2017? One thing's for sure, it's bound to be packed full of fun and action.

Our special thanks to Mum Jeanette, who captured some great fishing moments on film.
